Editorial standards
Litbuy Tips publishes hands-on reviews based on orders our team placed, paid for and received. Every rating is ours, produced from our own test data, and every review names the editor who ran the test. We do not accept payment for a rating, a ranking position or a place in a comparison table.
Sourcing
Primary evidence comes first: invoices, warehouse QC images, carrier scans, customs paperwork, kitchen-scale weights and tape-measure photos. Where we rely on an agent's published fee page, we capture it on the day of order and note the capture date so readers can see how the figure has moved since.
Authors and bylines
Every review and guide carries a byline linked to that editor's page on this site, which lists their beat, testing method and what they personally handled. No anonymous staff bylines. No borrowed names.
Ratings
We rate on a five-point scale written as X / 5: 5 / 5 excellent, 4 / 5 good, 3 / 5 adequate, 2 / 5 poor, 1 / 5 very poor. Hands-on scores for agents, shipping lines and items our team ordered and tested may occupy the full 1 to 5 scale. Ten-point scores from older material are converted before reuse.
Independence of judgement, not of funding
Our ratings and rankings are set by the editors who ran the tests, before any commercial link is added to a page. Commission arrangements are disclosed in the affiliate disclosure and repeated on commercial pages.
Sponsored content and press access
We do not run sponsored reviews. If an agent sends a sample, a credit or a free shipping label, we say so in the review and disclose it in the testing note. A free label does not buy a rating; it only buys a note saying who paid.
Artificial intelligence
We use drafting and spreadsheet tools to speed up transcription and data entry. Test observations, ratings and conclusions come from our editors. Nothing is published as a hands-on finding unless a member of the desk observed it.

Sources and limits
Fee figures identify their invoice or captured rate card. A dated quote is separated from the final charge, and unequal comparison inputs are explained next to the table.
